About The Author:
Randy was born in Stayton Oregon, a few miles from its capital, Salem. Shortly afterward his family of seven moved to Vanderhoof, a small community in the centre of British Columbia, Canada.
Together they carved out a niche in the wilderness. The only way in from the main road was by tractor. Randy's father quickly upgraded the goat trail to a road and began to etch a clearing that would one day become the location of their new home - a twenty-four by twenty-four foot cabin where the family dwelled for ten years.
Making a home was a process that lasted a lifetime and provided innumerable experiences that comprised his rich and unique youth.
In adulthood Randy became a teacher and spent almost two decades in the classroom teaching kids from kindergarten through grade twelve.
He realized his passion for writing and shared it with his students early in his career. It wasn't until much later that he began to stretch his wings and share a variety of his works outside his sphere of students, friends and relatives.
